Grade Programs

Early Childhood   {PreK-3 through Kindergarten}

St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School is dedicated to the following:

  • Teaching each child through a play-centered program that fosters the God-given talents of each child.

  • Developing the whole child spiritually, physically, emotionally, and academically with age-appropriate resources.

  • Providing opportunities for cooperative play, learning, and prayer.

  • Creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment to instill a love of learning that will last a lifetime.

  • Instructing the readiness skills and knowledge necessary for a smooth transition into the primary grades with an emphasis on religion, reading, and math.

  • Staffing the Early Childhood Program with dedicated professionals that will love and nurture every individual child.

Primary Program    {Grades 1-2}

St. Mary Magdalen School is committed to the following:

  • Creating an environment to teach and model Gospel values that Jesus taught: faith in God, prayer and service, love and respect for others, compassion, responsibility, stewardship, and a passion for learning.

  • Instilling the values and character traits that emulate respect and love for God, themselves, and others.

  • Developing the whole child, giving them the essential foundations in their faith, learning, social interactions, and self-esteem.

  • Providing opportunities that challenge and engage them in discovery, imagination, growth, and foresight. 

  • Equipping the learner with the foundation skills and knowledge to become independent life-long learners.

  • Staffing the Primary Program with warm, knowledgeable professionals that have the best interest of every child in their hearts.

Elementary Program      {Grades 3-5}

St. Mary Magdalen School is devoted to the following:

  • Providing daily instruction and formation in the doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church. The religion curriculum offers a rigorous academic program for religious studies and catechesis in the Catholic faith, set within a comprehensive academic curriculum that integrates faith, culture, and life.

  • Instilling a Spirit of Unity and Renewal through a Code of Conduct that brings them to be responsible disciples of Jesus anchored in reverence and respect for all.

  • Offering a learning environment that challenges student curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, including a more in-depth program in technology skills, social studies, science, world language, honors, advanced math, and a literature component in Language Arts.

  • Affording students exposure to opportunities that foster and develop the student’s talents and skills beyond the academic program, namely athletics, drama, instrumental music, choir, altar service, lecturing, and various clubs.

  • Staffing the program with highly qualified faculty who balance high expectations for students while deeply caring about them as young people.

  • ​Technology is an essential component of the education of our students; students will utilize both iPads and Chromebooks to enhance learning.

Middle Department Program         {Grades 6-8}

St. Mary Magdalen School is dedicated, committed and devoted to the following:

  • Inspiring the youth in our school to become active participants in their Catholic Faith through prayer, devotion, service, and stewardship to their church and parish.

  • Encouraging a sense of responsibility to become self-motivated life-long learners.

  • Offering a wide variety of academic experiences including but not limited to technology, leadership, writing, speaking, honors math, athletics, choral, and drama.

  • Providing opportunities for leadership, scholarship, initiative, and growth in academic and social arenas.

  • Enhancing the learning experience by utilizing a Google Classroom through a one-to-one Chromebook Program.

  • Preparing the students to enter successfully into high-performing secondary schools of their choice, many on academic scholarships.

  • Staffing the program with an experienced subject specialist in each academic area of the curriculum.
